The Nashville Sounds topped the Portland Stag, 10-3, with left fielder Danny Bautista playing a big role. Bautista went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Sounds in the win. Nashville reliever Mike Perez picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. Todd Burns was saddled with the loss. The first-place Sounds have a one-game lead in their division.

One significant plate appearance for Nashville came with no one out in the top of the eighth inning. Sounds center fielder Oddibe McDowell hit a run-scoring double, which helped Nashville go on to win.
