The Omaha Storm Chasers beat the Spokane River Rats, 4-3, at Foxes Ballpark. Omaha designated hitter Pete Incaviglia earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double. Omaha reliever Dave Veres picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Rick Helling was collared with the loss. Omaha goes to 84-36. The win puts them 6 games up in their division.

Omaha took a 4-3 lead on Tim Unroe's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Unroe hit in the top of the ninth, left Spokane pitcher Ricky Trlicek shaking his head.

"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Spokane manager . "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
