Bisons Win, Move to Within 1 Game of League Championship Series
The Buffalo Bisons moved to within one game of the League Championship Series today, downing the visiting Asheville Moonshiners at Aspinwall Grounds by a score of 7-1. Bisons right-hander Brad Radke was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings allowing 1 run. The win gives the Bisons a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

In the bottom of the first, Buffalo second baseman Jody Reed had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Reed stroked a bases-clearing double to center. It made the score 7-0, Buffalo. For the game, he went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.

"We aren't quitting," Asheville manager said. "Yeah, the odds are definitely in their favor, but they've got to earn it."

Game 3 is set to be played Sunday, August 13th, 1995 at Torrance Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Dennis Springer for the Buffalo Bisons and Jeff Juden for the the Asheville Moonshiners.
