RF Vitiello Lights Up Swamp Foxes for 5 RBIs as Slammers Tie DS
The Southeast Slammers and the Savannah Swamp Foxes will take the Division Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Slammers beat the Swamp Foxes 7-4 at Ravens Ballpark to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Southeast right fielder Joe Vitiello was named player of the game in the win after he went 2-3 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice.

Vitiello provided the big break for the Slammers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run, helping Southeast to get the win.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Vitiello.

The next game is scheduled for Tuesday. The scheduled starters for the game are Brian Holman for Southeast and John Wasdin for Savannah.
