Home Field Advantage: Kingsale, Spokane Open Division Series with Win
The Spokane River Rats started the Division Series in style today, downing the visiting Naperville Lazy Fisherman at Foxes Ballpark by a score of 7-3 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. River Rats center fielder Gene Kingsale was named player of the game after he went 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.

Kingsale had a big at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fifth inning. With his team down, 1-0, the center fielder hit a 2-run triple to put Spokane ahead.

"We played hard and won," said Kingsale. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Foxes Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Charles Nagy for the Naperville Lazy Fisherman and John Mitchell for the the Spokane River Rats.
