Naperville Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in DS
|
The Naperville Lazy Fisherman moved to within one game of the League Championship Series today, downing the visiting Spokane River Rats at Ballpark of Milton by a score of 7-4. Lazy Fisherman left-hander Dennys Reyes was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. The win gives the Lazy Fisherman a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.
With one out in the bottom of the second, Walt Weiss had a game-changing hit. The Lazy Fisherman second baseman slammed a 2-run single off Jaret Wright, making the score 2-1, Naperville.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Weiss.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Ballpark of Milton. Slated to start are John Mitchell for the Spokane River Rats and Charles Nagy for the the Naperville Lazy Fisherman.
