Marlins Clip Cardinals 3-2 in DS Contest
The Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals will take the Division Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Marlins beat the Cardinals 3-2 at Joe Robbie Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Florida third baseman Matt Williams was named player of the game in the win after he hit 2 home runs.

Williams had a critical at-bat in the bottom of the third for Florida, coming through with a solo home run to put Florida in front, 3-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Florida manager Stephen Ginter. "Our pregame was pretty good."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Joe Robbie Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Jay Tibbs for St. Louis and Butch Henry for Florida.
