Senators Hammered by Brown, Drop Game 2 to Dodgers
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers relied on the hitting of first baseman Chris Brown to get by the Washington Senators, 4-3, in Game 2 of the Division Series today. For the game, Brown went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.
Had Ryan Klesko not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Klesko hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Dodgers.
Brown called the triumph "a good team win."
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday in Washington. Slated to start are Bill Pulsipher for Los Angeles and Andy Pettitte for Washington.
