Youmans Handcuffs Reds, Diamondbacks Seize 3-0 Advantage in WS
The Arizona Diamondbacks moved to within one game of the Round 4 today, downing the Cincinnati Reds on the road at Riverfront Stadium by a score of 5-2. Diamondbacks right-hander Floyd Youmans was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Diamondbacks a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 World Series.

Youmans allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 7 innings for the Diamondbacks. He walked 2 and struck out 5.

"Feels good to get the job done," Youmans said after the game.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati. Slated to start are Juan Nieves for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Jim Abbott for the the Cincinnati Reds.
