Twins Slip Past Chicago, 7-6
|
The Minnesota Twins bested the Chicago White Sox by a score of 7-6, with left fielder Geronimo Berroa getting the main credit. On the day, Berroa went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Twins. The save was credited to Rob Dibble, his 8th. Chicago, at 8-20, is off to a poor start in 1995.
One of the stars of the game was Minnesota catcher Todd Zeile. In the top of the eighth with one out, he got a curveball from Ralph Citarella and hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 7-6 in favor of the Twins.
"Enjoyed this one," Berroa told the Minnesota Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
