Neagle K's 11 En Route to 4-2 Royals Win
|
Kansas City left-hander Denny Neagle pitched his team to victory over the Minnesota Twins at Royals Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Earning his 7th save for Kansas City was Mike Stanton. The Royals have hit the ground running, raising their record to 20-8. While it's still too soon to talk about Kansas City hoisting their 5th World Series trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.
Neagle, a native of The United States, was dealing all game. He kept Minnesota hitters off-balance, while giving the Royals 8 quality innings. Neagle threw 118 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 11.
"I like what I saw today," said Kansas City manager Daniel Drucker, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
