Reds Stumble, Lose to Red Sox
|
The Boston Red Sox topped the Cincinnati Reds, 9-4, in Federal League action at Fenway Park. The player of the game was Boston pitcher and Middletown, Ohio native Mike Remlinger. With the win, Boston goes to 62-77, while the Reds fall to 74-64.
Wade Boggs, the Boston second baseman, contributed a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 9-0, Red Sox. For the game, Boggs went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.
