Expos Slip Past Toronto, 4-3
The Toronto Blue Jays got a superb performance from pitcher Bryan Hickerson. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Montreal. The Expos won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Hickerson was named the player of the game. He came in in relief and pitched to 16 batters . Montreal goes to 90-50. The win puts them 7½ games up in their division.

Late in the game, first baseman Matt Williams had a big at-bat for Montreal. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a solo home run off Bryan Hickerson. The play gave the Expos a 4-3 lead.

"We found a way to get it done," Williams said.
