Daniels Slugs Twins to 4-3 Win
|
Minnesota designated hitter Kal Daniels played a vital role in his team's 4-3 triumph over Milwaukee. He went 3-3 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk for Minnesota. Rob Dibble earned his 27th save in 30 chances. With the win, the Twins have a record of 63-77.
Larry Walker, who finished 2nd in the FL in RBI with 118 in 1993, aided the Minnesota cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Daniels.
