Cubs Win in Glorious Fashion
Cubs third baseman Scott Cooper put his stamp on his team's 7-6 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Cooper went 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Chicago in the contest. Chicago reliever Tim Davis picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Steve Chitren shouldered the loss. Chicago is now 62-80, St. Louis 71-70.

One significant plate appearance for Chicago came with no one out in the bottom of the 11th inning. Cubs second baseman Jeff Frye grounded out, which helped Chicago go on to win.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Cooper told the Chicago Daily.
