Orioles Stumble, Lose to Senators
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Vladimir Guerrero, the Washington Senators defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 9-4. Guerrero was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Senators. At 84-58, Washington is in second place in the United League East Division.
Washington took a 7-4 lead on Guerrero's 133rd hit of the season. The 2-run single, which he hit off Julian Tavarez in the top of the seventh, propelled Washington to the win.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Guerrero.
