Toronto beat Detroit on the strength of starter Jeff D. Robinson's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. The Blue Jays, at 81-61, have now won 5 straight.

Will Clark gave Toronto a good at-bat in the top of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to help send Toronto to the win.
