San Diego rode a good effort from starter Darryl Kile to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks at Jack Murphy Stadium. The final score was 6-0. Arizona's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Kile, who leaned on his curveball, allowed no runs on just 3 hits over 8 innings for the Padres. For the most part, Arizona hitters were simply overmatched.

"Darryl was throwing free and easy," said San Diego manager Matt Dodds.
