Fine Effort by Biggio Not Enough in 10-9 Sun Rays Loss
Minnesota withstood an impressive performance by Orlando second baseman Craig Biggio to defeat the Sun Rays, 10-9, at Orlando Citrus Bowl. Biggio slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Rob Dibble locked down his 9th save. The Sun Rays fall to 11-18 and continue their unimpressive start to the 1995 season.

Tied up with the Sun Rays in the top of the ninth inning, the Twins got a boost from left fielder Geronimo Berroa. With the bases empty, Berroa saw a 0-1 fastball from Rudy Seanez and hit a solo home run to break the stalemate and put Minnesota on top, 10-9.

"If we keep winning the close games," Berroa said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
