White Sox Lose Again, 6-4, to Cubs
|
Danny Bautista did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Chicago White Sox from losing, 6-4, to the Chicago Cubs at Comiskey Park. Bautista was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Randy Tomlin, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 15-10. Chicago has now lost 6 straight.
Having an impact for Chicago was Mark Grace. In the top of the seventh inning, the 30-year old first baseman had a 2-run single to make the score 6-1, Cubs.
Grace said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
