Orioles Hapless Against Blue Jays, Pichardo
|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Hipolito Pichardo was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Baltimore Orioles, 4-0. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 85-61 with this latest triumph.
Pichardo, a native of Esperanza, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Baltimore hitters off-balance, while giving the Blue Jays 8 quality innings. Pichardo threw 110 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 4.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Pichardo said.
