Knights Get Road Win, 6-1
|
Charlotte Knights starter Ron Robinson kept the New York Yankees hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-1 win. The Knights now have a record of 77-70 with the win over New York.
Charlotte used the timely hitting of Paul Konerko to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Knights on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said New York manager Tigerr Wolfe.
