The Milwaukee Creams beat the Boston Red Sox, 6-5, at Fenway Park. Chipper Jones was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. The 1993 Rookie of the Year winner was a menace to Boston all day. Rob Murphy notched his 13th save in 21 chances. The Creams raised their record to 83-65.

The Creams scored in the top of the first when Steve Finley hit a 2-run double to make the score 3-0, Milwaukee.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Finley.
