Devil Rays Turn Back Cubs, 6-5
The Orlando Devil Rays eked out a 6-5 win versus the Chicago Cubs at Orlando Citrus Bowl. Nobody did more than shortstop Jose Oquendo, who captured player of the game honors. The Devil Rays bumped their record to 81-68 with this latest triumph.

Brian Jordan had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fifth for Orlando. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Devil Rays leading 5-3, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Oquendo told the Orlando Bulletin.
