Florida Marlins starter Butch Henry turned in a top-notch performance against the Minnesota Twins at Metrodome. The result was a win for the Marlins, 4-2. The Marlins bumped their record to 86-62 with this latest triumph.
Richie Sexson went 1 for 4 for Florida. In the top of the sixth, with the teams deadlocked, 1-1, Sexson delivered for the Marlins. His run-scoring single put Florida on top, 2-1.
Minnesota manager Darren Fischbach said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
