The Arizona Diamondbacks and Toronto Blue Jays provided some drama at Bank One Ballpark.

The Toronto Blue Jays topped the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-5, in United League action at Bank One Ballpark. The player of the game was Toronto pitcher and Downey, California native Kevin Gross. Toronto reliever Jim Corsi was the winner. His record is now 5-1. Mark Dewey took the loss.

This game was not decided until late. With two out in the top of the ninth, Derek Jeter hit a run-scoring single. The Blue Jays took the lead, 6-5.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Jeter said.
