Mets Stun Giants, 6-5
New York Mets starter Bob Milacki turned in a workmanlike performance against the San Francisco Giants at Candlestick Park. He threw 9 innings of 4-hit ball in the 6-5 win. Milacki got the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. Milacki allowed 4 earned runs. Losses have been rare for the Giants, who are now 22-7.

One of the stars of the game was New York first baseman Greg Colbrunn. In the top of the eighth with one out, he got a fastball from Rusty Meacham and hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 5-4 in favor of the Mets.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Colbrunn.
