Calderon Stars for Cardinals in 7-2 Win
The St. Louis Cardinals downed the Orlando Devil Rays, 7-2, at Busch Stadium. Ivan Calderon led the way, going 3-for-4 for St. Louis. Miguel Batista got the win, improving to 7-1. He held the Devil Rays to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 1. The 4th-place Cardinals have won 4 straight games.

The Cardinals beat the Devil Rays with some clutch hitting. The home run by Karim Garcia in the bottom of the first is a good example. With two down, Garcia gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Garcia told the St. Louis Bulletin.
