It was a good time at Metrodome, where fans came to watch the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins get after it.

The Minnesota Twins buried the Boston Red Sox, 12-1, under a barrage of hits. Eddie Perez led the onslaught, going 4-for-4 for Minnesota. At 72-78, Minnesota is in 5th place in the Federal League Central Division.

Perez had a key at-bat for Minnesota early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and gave Minnesota an early 3-0 lead.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Twins manager Darren Fischbach.
