Arizona right-hander Mike Harkey was sensational in shutting out the Detroit Tigers, 7-0. Harkey, the winner, moves to 7-4. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. The losses continue to add up for Detroit, which has now fallen 12 times in a row.

In the top of the second, second baseman Delino DeShields hit a 2-run single to left-center. The single, which was hit off of Vaughn Eshelman, gave Arizona a 3-0 lead.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Harkey.
