The Kansas City Royals dealt the Florida Marlins a 13-6 loss at Royals Stadium. Hensley Meulens was the star on offense. He slugged 3 home runs. Denny Neagle got credit for the win, improving to 18-8. He allowed 6 runs on 9 hits in 8 innings. The first-place Royals have won 4 consecutive games.
