Delgado hits 2 home runs as Creams Squeeze Past St. Louis
|
It was a good time at Milwaukee County Stadium, where fans came to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Creams get after it.
Milwaukee first baseman Carlos Delgado had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Rob Murphy notched his 14th save in 22 chances.
Delgado had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Creams went on to win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Delgado told the Milwaukee Times.
Milwaukee is second in the Federal League Central Division with a record of 85-68.
