The Oakland Athletics topped the Arizona Diamondbacks, 3-2, in United League action at Oakland Coliseum. The player of the game was Oakland second baseman Geronimo Pena. Oakland now sits in 4th place in the United League West Division at 70-83.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and the bases empty, the batter, Geronimo Pena, hit a walk-off solo home run. It helped Oakland seize the win.

"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Arizona manager Alen Maglajac. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
