Big Day by Giambi Sparks Knights Win
|
Charlotte first baseman Jason Giambi had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Florida Marlins, 5-2. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Knights hope to make a postseason run.
Giambi had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Paul Shuey, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Knights a 4-1 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Giambi.
"It was a good effort all around," said Giambi.
