Tigers Fall to Perez and Blue Jays, 10-1
|
Toronto got a strong outing from Melido Perez as the Blue Jays defeated the Detroit Tigers, 10-1, at Tiger Stadium. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 92-63 with this latest triumph.
Perez gave Toronto a solid start. The right-hander, who is listed at 6' 4", 195 lbs, allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 8.2 innings.
"We played hard and won," said Perez. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
