Castillo Dazzles in New York Win
New York pitcher Frank Castillo did his part in helping his team beat the Detroit Tigers, 7-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Mets, at 90-67, sit in 4th place in the United League East Division.

Castillo ran roughshod over the Detroit lineup. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 6. With the victory, he goes to 16-12 on the season.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Castillo.
