Maddux KOs Tigers
|
In a low-scoring clash between Los Angeles and Detroit, pitcher Greg Maddux was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Los Angeles in the 2-1 win. Scott Radinsky earned the save, his 3rd. The Tigers drop to 12-18 and continue their inconsistent start to the 1994 season.
Maddux made it look easy. He scattered 6 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 12 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 4-1.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Maddux.
