Barron turned the game around in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Mike Henneman, the Florida center fielder rapped a 2-run home run. Suddenly, the 6-5 Florida deficit turned into a 7-6 lead.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Florida manager Stephen Ginter.
