Twins Get Road Win, 4-1
|
Minnesota and Chicago met in a late-season matchup at Comiskey Park.
The Minnesota Twins faced a tough opponent in Chicago pitcher Chris Bosio, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Comiskey Park by a final score of 4-1. Bosio went 8.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Bob Ayrault notched his 5th save in 8 chances.
Koji Akiyama in the top of the fourth had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and the Twins leading 1-0, the Minnesota left fielder reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Akiyama, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The Twins raised their record to 74-83.
