Dodgers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Diamondbacks
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks, 3-2, at Bank One Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Los Angeles was first baseman Rafael Palmeiro. He belted 2 home runs. The Dodgers raised their record to 76-81.
In the top of the ninth inning, Palmeiro went to the plate for the Dodgers. With the clubs tied 2-2, he saw a 0-1 changeup from Floyd Youmans and hit a solo home run to put the Dodgers on top, 3-2.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Palmeiro told the Los Angeles Daily.
