Tigers Turn Back Orioles, 3-1

The Detroit Tigers got a stellar performance from pitcher Vaughn Eshelman, who handcuffed the Baltimore offense en route to a 3-1 win at Tiger Stadium. The win puts the Tigers at 71-87, while the Orioles drop to 63-95.
Junior Felix contributed to the Detroit win. The 28-year old right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Felix was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"We had a good game plan," Eshelman said, "and we were able to execute it."
