Diamondbacks Need Extras to Top Dodgers
The Arizona Diamondbacks picked up a win at Bank One Ballpark, knocking off the Los Angeles Dodgers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Scott Karl, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Arizona improves to 93-66 with the win. They lead their division by 7 games.

Late in the game, catcher Bobby M Estalella had a big at-bat for Arizona. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a 2-run home run off Lance Painter. The play gave the Diamondbacks a 5-3 lead.

In postgame remarks, Karl simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
