Mitchell Hits 2 home runs in Braves Win
Atlanta third baseman Kevin Mitchell made his presence felt in the 15-7 Braves triumph over the Orlando Sun Rays. Mitchell slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 5. Bob Wickman earned the win for Atlanta. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 7 earned runs on 9 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 2-5. The third-place Braves have won 4 consecutive games.
