Red Sox Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
Boston rode a decent outing from starter Willie E Adams to victory over the New York Yankees at Fenway Park. The final score was 4-3. Boston is now riding a 3-game win streak.
In the bottom of the 11th, Boston third baseman Mike Blowers had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and no one out, Blowers stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 4-3, Boston. For the game, he went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Red Sox manager Brett Williams. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
