Everett Excels in Charlotte Win
|
The Charlotte Knights topped the Milwaukee Creams, 10-6, with center fielder Carl Everett playing a big role. Everett went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Knights in the win. The Knights bumped their record to 85-76 with this latest triumph.
Early in the game, first baseman Jason Giambi had a 2-run double for Charlotte. It was his 24th double of the season and put the Knights on top, 3-1.
"I felt good up there," said Everett. "I saw the ball well."
