Mets Drop Another One
|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Melido Perez was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the New York Mets, 2-1. Curt Brown was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 11 save opportunities. The Mets, now 87-74, have lost 5 in a row.
Danny Tartabull hit a run-scoring triple off Frank Castillo in the bottom of the third, which put the Blue Jays in front, 2-1. Tartabull had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"Nothing fazes Melido," said Toronto manager Jose Mata.
