Yankees Trounce White Sox, 13-2
|
New York starter Jim Abbott kept the Chicago offense in check, while his team rolled to a 13-2 win. Abbott, now 3-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. The White Sox, now 9-23, continue their slow start.
The Yankees picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"We got our butts kicked," said Chicago manager Dustin Hafler.
