Washington right-hander Jamie Brewington made an effective start against the New York Mets at RFK Stadium, leading his team to a 5-3 win. The Senators have an impressive 100-62 record.
Brewington allowed 1 run over 8.1 innings. He also racked up 10 strikeouts.
