Rangers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Texas Rangers bested the Boston Red Sox, 5-4, at Fenway Park. Rico Brogna was named player of the game. He went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Texas is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 12th win in 32 games.
One of the biggest contributors for Texas was catcher Damon Berryhill. In the top of the 12th, with a runner on 2nd, Berryhill got a 2-0 fastball and hit a run-scoring single. That put the Rangers on top, 5-4.
In postgame comments, Brogna said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
