Knights Prove Rude Guests, Win 10-4 at Florida
The Charlotte Knights knocked off the Florida Marlins, 10-4, at Joe Robbie Stadium. Todd Zeile, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Charlotte won. The catcher was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Kevin Tapani got the win, improving to 4-3. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 10 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Matt Mantei earned his 1st save in 1 tries.

One significant at-bat for Charlotte came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the sixth. Knights designated hitter Mark Carreon hit a run-scoring double, which helped Charlotte go on to win.

"We maximized our offense today," said Charlotte skipper Tyler Vuxta. "That makes everyone's life easier."

The Knights, now 14-19, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
