St. Louis starter Francisco Cordova pitched effectively against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. The Yankees, now 10-21, continue their poor start.

It could have been a different outcome for St. Louis, had it not been for Damian Miller, the 27-year old catcher . Miller contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put St. Louis up, 4-1.
