Senators Lose, 5-3, at Dodger Stadium
The Los Angeles Dodgers picked up a win at Dodger Stadium, knocking off the Washington Senators, 5-3. Starting pitcher Ugueth Urbina, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Urbina, now 3-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 3 earned runs. Losses have been few and far between for the Senators so far this season. Their record drops to 21-10.

The Dodgers beat the Senators with some clutch hitting. The home run by Jason Varitek in the bottom of the sixth is a good example. With two down, Varitek gave his team the lead, 5-3, when he came through with the big hit.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Los Angeles manager Dave Ginter.
