Dodgers Fall Short at Montreal
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers wasted an impressive 5.2-inning effort from starter Aaron Sele, falling 2-1 to the Montreal Expos at Olympic Stadium. Ed Correa got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Montreal now has a 6-game win streak.
Ricky Otero contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that helped send Montreal to the win.
"We were in it," said Los Angeles manager Dave Ginter. "We just didn't score enough runs."
