Yankees Hapless Against Cardinals, Batista
|
St. Louis Cardinals starter Miguel Batista was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the New York Yankees, 4-0. St. Louis is in second place in the Federal League Central Division with a record of 21-14.
Batista, who was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, threw 126 pitches over 8.2 innings, while allowing no earned runs.
Batista pitched well, despite being a bit under the weather. "To be honest, I was sick before the game," he said. "Just a stomach bug."
